Or feel expensive.

They’re meant to be read again.
And again.

Kids pull pages.
Lean on them.
Turn them with whole hands.

Libraries noticed this early.
So did publishers.

If a book falls apart after a few reads, it disappears from shelves.
If it survives, it stays in circulation.

The format follows the behavior.
